Teleradio-Moldova launches Radio Moldova Comrat for residents of the Gagauz autonomy

Teleradio-Moldova company will launch Radio Moldova Comrat, intended for the residents of the Gagauz autonomy. The new radio station will broadcast on two frequencies - 105.6 MHz in Comrat and 104.3 MHz in Vulcănești - which were won following a competition held by the Audiovisual Council.

Radio Moldova Comrat will become a source of objective information, will offer debate shows and entertainment programs adapted to the interests of the inhabitants of the region.

Also, it will contribute to the development of media education, offering quality content according to international journalistic standards. The creation of this station reflects TRM's commitment to ensuring the diversity and accessibility of information for all segments of society, while promoting social cohesion. At the same time, after 17 years of broadcasting exclusively online, one of TRM's channels, Radio Moldova Music, will be available in Chisinau on the FM band, on the frequency 97.7.

The public radio station will also cover a larger number of localities by obtaining new frequencies aimed at eliminating the so-called "shadow areas", identified following specialized measurements. Thus, in the coming months, the public in the localities of Hâncești, Mingir, Lăpușna, Camenca (Glodeni), Iepureni (Cantemir), Târgul Veriujeni (Florești), Criuleni, Otaci and Unguri (Ocnița) will have the opportunity to get the Radio Moldova signal.

We remind you that the Public Broadcaster could launch a new television station exclusively in Russian. A legislative initiative in this regard was announced on March 12 by the deputies of the ruling Action and Solidarity party (PAS) Eugeniu Sinchevici and Natalia Davidovici.
