Regional security, discussed by Maia Sandu in Tokyo with members of the Japanese Parliament
The cooperation of the Republic of Moldova with Japan, but also regional security were the main topics discussed by President Maia Sandu, in Tokyo, with the President of the House of Representatives, Hiroyuki Hosoda, but also with several members of the Japanese Parliament.

"I was honoured to meet, in Tokyo, with several members of the Japanese Parliament, to talk to them about Moldova and our cooperation with Japan. I told them about our fight for democracy and the road to the European Union, about the efforts to reform key sectors and build a state where every citizen enjoys respect. I mentioned the excellent relationship we have with Japan, which is the third most important development partner of Moldova, with generous contributions in agriculture and the health system, in the local infrastructure", wrote Maia Sandu on her Facebook page.
At the same time, the officials also spoke about the uncertainty into which our region was thrown by Russia's war against Ukraine, highlighting the biggest problems facing the Republic of Moldova because of this.

Also in Tokyo, President Maia Sandu will participate in the conference of the International Assembly of Women (WAW).
On December 5-7, the leader from Chisinau will be in Washington, where she will participate in the International Anti-Corruption Conference, within the Summit for Democracy. Also, President Maia Sandu will have bilateral meetings and will meet with representatives of the Moldovan diaspora in the United States.
