Moldovan products exports to the CIS market, decreasing
Moldovan product exports to the CIS market show an annual downward trend of up to 30 percent, Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Vladimir Bolea says.
The official told a TVR programme that Moldova currently has a diverse market and Turkey and Romania are the main export destinations for Moldovan agricultural products.
"Basically all exports have begun to diversify in a natural way, conditions dictate, practically, to reach the CIS market requires a lot of transport costs, logistics, you cross a lot of countries to reach your markets. Political and decision-making instability means that interest in exports from the CIS market falls every year," said Vladimir Bolea.
The Republic of Moldova exported agricultural products worth about one billion to Romania last year and another 860 million to Turkey.
