The section "Tighina-Basarabeasca-Giurgiulești" railway in the rehabilitation process

The rehabilitation process of the "Tighina-Basarabeasca-Giurgiulești" railway section has begun. To date, for the restructuring of the railway, 6,406 reinforced concrete sleepers and 10 thousand sets of their fastening elements have been received.

The first works have started on the Abaclia - Ceadîr-Lunga railway sector, informs Calea Ferată.

MRW specifies that, for the reconstruction of the "Tighina-Basarabeasca-Giurgiulești" railway section, a public tender was organised. Finally, in 2020, the EBRD and the EIB named the Kazakh company "Temirzhol Zhondeu" LPP as the winner.
