Igor Grosu: Gagauz autonomy residents will be able to receive ballot papers in Gagauz language
Gagauz residents will be able to receive ballot papers in Gagauz during the general or local elections, parliamentary speaker Igor Grosu told Realitatea.md. He added that he had also discussed the issue during his official visit to Turkey.

Igor Grosu pointed out that he was asked during his official visit to Turkey about changes to the Electoral Code and voters' access to ballot papers in their native language. Igor Grosu claims that the Turkish authorities were misinformed.
In December 2022, the Parliament adopted the draft of the new Electoral Code. According to it, ballot papers will be printed in Romanian, but, at the request of the local electoral body, they may also be printed in a language other than the state language.
