Bomb threat interrupts hearing at Buiucani Court in Chișinău
A bomb threat was reported at the Buiucani Court in Chișinău.
The information was confirmed to Teleradio-Moldova by Svetlana Scripnic, press officer of the Chișinău Police Directorate. The police were alerted through a phone call.
All specialized services responded on-site.
It should be noted that today, at the Buiucani Court, a hearing is underway regarding a criminal case initiated in January 2022. The case involves Evghenia Guțul, the mayor of Buiucani, and a secretary from the Central Office of the former "Șor" Party, which was declared unconstitutional in 2023. They are accused of "knowingly accepting financial support from an organized criminal group for a political competitor, in an extended form, as accomplices." The criminal investigation was initiated in January 2022. Guțul pleads not guilty.
In this context, the ongoing hearing examining an individual's case was interrupted. One of the police theories is that this action was intentionally carried out to delay the proceedings, said Svetlana Scripnic.
