Chisinau extends the environmental permit for the Rîbnița Metallurgical Plant
The Commission for Emergency Situations has extended the authorization for the Rîbnița Metallurgical Plant until February 28. A decision to this effect was adopted on Tuesday, January 31.
According to the provision of the CSE, the Environment Agency, during one working day, will issue the permissive documents to ensure the continuity of the plant's activity. It is about the Authorization for the emission of pollutants into the atmosphere from fixed sources and about the Environmental Authorization for waste management.
At the same time, by way of derogation from the law, the delivery, between June and December 2022, of balancing electricity, carried out by ÎS "Moldelectrica" to the Curiurgan Power Plant is exempt from VAT, without the right of deduction with the budget system of the Republic of Moldova.
