Israel to send military aid for Ukraine

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that his country foresees military aid for Ukraine, also proposing to mediate in the conflict between Kyiv and Moscow, informs AFP, quoted by Agerpres.

So far Benjamin Netanyahu has refrained from taking a firm stand on Ukraine's side, concerned not to upset Russia, which controls Syria's airspace bordering Israel and routinely turns a blind eye to the Israeli state's operations against Iran.

Benjamin Netanyahu has confirmed that the US has transferred to Ukraine artillery munitions that were previously stored in Israel and has hinted that the Israeli state will act in turn to prevent the production of arms for Russia in Iran.

Ukrainian and Western officials accuse Iran of supplying drones to Russia for its invasion of Ukraine, charges Tehran denies. His remarks come after a visit to the Middle East by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who urged calm after escalating violence between Israel and the Palestinians and encouraged Israel to support Ukraine.
