Sheriff and Milsami draw 2–2 in Super League thriller

In the final match of Round 5 of the Moldovan Super League play-offs, Sheriff Tiraspol and Milsami Orhei delivered a dramatic 2–2 draw, despite Sheriff holding a 2–0 lead as the game entered stoppage time under Croatian head coach Mislav Karoglan.
The “Wasps” opened the scoring in the 38th minute when Montenegrin defender Alexa Marušić headed home from a perfectly delivered corner by Armenian midfielder Artur Serobyan. Sheriff extended their lead in the 71st minute through Senegalese forward Papa Ndiaga Yade, appearing to seal the victory.
However, the “Red Eagles” mounted a sensational late comeback in added time. Nigerian striker Ime Ndon pulled one back, and former Moldovan international Radu Gînsari equalised moments later with his eighth goal of the season.
Following this result, Sheriff remained in third place with 9 points, four behind league leaders Milsami Orhei. Zimbru Chișinău sits in second with 10 points. In the upcoming sixth round of the play-offs on April 19, Milsami will host Zimbru, while Sheriff Tiraspol will face Spartanii-Sportul Chișinău at home.
