Kherson attack: Russian drones and artillery kill 3 civilians

On April 13, Russia launched an artillery and drone strike on the southern city of Kherson, killing three people and injuring two others, according to regional governor Oleksandr Prokudin, as cited by The Kyiv Independent.

A 62-year-old woman was killed by Russian shelling in the city center, Prokudin said. Two other Kherson residents—a 48-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman—died in hospital after being wounded in the drone strikes.

The drone strikes also injured two additional civilians, according to the governor.

The shelling in central Kherson struck a high-rise residential building and several nearby homes, Prokudin added.

The Kherson attack took place on Palm Sunday, the same day Russian forces launched two ballistic missiles at the northeastern city of Sumy, killing more than 30 people and injuring over 100.
