Daiga Mieriņa visits Moldova to discuss European integration

The Speaker of the Parliament of Latvia, Daiga Mieriņa, is on an official visit to the Republic of Moldova from April 14 to 15.
The visit's agenda includes high-level meetings and discussions aimed at strengthening Moldovan-Latvian cooperation, especially regarding Moldova’s European integration.
According to a statement from the Moldovan Parliament, Daiga Mieriņa will meet with its Speaker, Igor Grosu. The two officials will then hold a joint press conference to discuss issues related to the partnership between the two countries.
During the visit, the Latvian official will also meet with the Vice Speaker of Parliament, Doina Gherman, and Deputy Alina Dandara, Chair of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Latvia. Additional meetings are scheduled with the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, the Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Oleg Serebrian, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihail Popșoi.
On April 15, Daiga Mieriņa will visit Ungheni, where she will meet with representatives from local authorities and the regional socio-economic sector.
The City Hall of Chișinău has announced that, during the official visit, temporary traffic restrictions will be imposed in the central area of the capital, particularly around the Parliament and the Presidency.
