Moldovan teen arrested for murdering parents, plotting Trump assassination

A 17-year-old originally from the Republic of Moldova has been arrested in Wisconsin on charges of murdering his mother and stepfather, according to the Associated Press.

Investigators believe the crime was premeditated and that the teenager was attempting to obtain money to finance an assassination attempt in the U.S. President Donald Trump and to overthrow the United States government.

The case took a new and disturbing turn when a recently unsealed federal warrant revealed shocking details: the teen allegedly lived for several weeks in the house with the bodies of his deceased parents before fleeing with $14,000 in cash, family passports, and the family dog. He was later apprehended in Kansas.

Federal authorities say the teen purchased a drone and explosives and wrote a three-page antisemitic manifesto in which he praised Adolf Hitler. The document outlined his intentions to bring down the U.S. government by assassinating the president and, potentially, the vice president. According to the FBI, he shared his plans on TikTok and Telegram, even communicating with a Russian speaker. He reportedly intended to flee to Ukraine.

The teenager is currently in custody at the Waukesha County Jail. He is facing charges of first-degree murder, theft, concealment of corpses, and unlawful use of identification documents. He is expected to appear in court in May to enter his plea.

His attorney, Nicole Ostrowski, stated in court that he is still a high school student and has requested the dismissal of several charges, including theft, citing insufficient evidence.

Moldovan authorities have not yet officially confirmed the information.
