Moldova president Sandu seeks EU support in Spain

President Maia Sandu of the Republic of Moldova will visit Spain from April 27 to 29, participating in the European People's Party (EPP) Congress in Valencia.
According to the Presidency, during the Congress, the President will deliver a speech and hold meetings with European leaders, heads of state and government. The aim is to strengthen political support for the Republic of Moldova's accession to the European Union, expand economic cooperation, and deepen bilateral relations with partner countries.
On the evening of April 27, President Maia Sandu will meet with members of the Moldovan community in Barcelona.
"The meeting will provide an opportunity for dialogue on the country's current priorities and the diaspora's contribution to the development of the Republic of Moldova. Those wishing to participate in the discussion are invited to complete the registration form," the issued communiqué added.
In October 2023, President Sandu also visited Spain, participating in the European Political Community Summit in Granada, hosted by Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. During that meeting, she discussed with leaders of EU member states and non-EU countries the challenges facing our continent.
