Surgeon Dumitru Tabac passed away at 73
Dr. Dumitru Tabac, one of the most respected surgeons in the Republic of Moldova, passed away on May 7, 2025, in Chisinau. His colleagues at the Republican Clinical Hospital "Timofei Moșneaga," where he worked for decades, made the sad announcement.
Dumitru Tabac, born on September 19, 1951, was a dedicated professional known for his competence, empathy, and calm demeanor, particularly during challenging situations. Throughout his career, he established a solid reputation in Moldovan surgery and became an emblematic figure in the field.
His body will be laid to rest on Friday, May 9, at the chapel of the Republican Clinical Hospital. A farewell ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, May 10, at the Romanian Orthodox Church "Saint Dumitru" in Chisinau. He will be buried at the Central (Armenian) Cemetery in Chisinau.
The hospital where he worked honored him by expressing gratitude for his dedicated service.
