MoldATSA workplace probe follows controller suicide

The Civil Aeronautical Authority (AAC) has launched an internal investigation at the State Enterprise MoldATSA following the death by suicide of a 26-year-old air traffic controller on May 13.
The investigation will include a review of internal procedures "related to the organizational climate."
According to sources cited by Jurnal.md, the extreme act may have been caused by problems he allegedly had with his superiors.
"We understand the importance of clarifying all circumstances," reads the statement issued by the Authority.
The Civil Aeronautical Authority will provide additional information as soon as it becomes available.
According to a statement issued by MoldATSA, all air traffic controllers undergo periodic medical and psychological evaluations, in accordance with Civil Aeronautical Authority regulations, to ensure the highest safety standards in the field.
