The second part of the Opinion of the European Commission on the request for accession of the Republic of Moldova to the EU, published
The second part of the European Commission's Opinion on the request for the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union has been made public, reports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MAEIE). The document analyses the level of preparation of our country from the point of view of the standards submitted to the EU member states, assessing the situation according to an evaluation system of the European Commission, reads the document.
"The analytical report evaluates the situation on 33 chapters of EU legislation and completes the first part of the Opinion, which was made public on June 17, 2022, aiming to assess the political criterion and the economic criterion of accession," said the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of External Nicu Popescu.
The Republic of Moldova is at the beginner level of training in 12 fields; a certain level of training in 17 areas and a moderate level of training in three areas.
According to the head of diplomacy from Chisinau, the analytical report reflects the existing situation in June 2022. The progress that took place afterwards will be published in the report on the EU enlargement policy that is going to be written in autumn 2023.
"We will adjust our plans regarding the 33 chapters of the acquis communautaire, based on the analytical report of the European Commission published on February 2, 2023. In the government, we have already outlined a good part of the rigorous objectives in the draft Action Plan of the Government for 2023. Together, we have already started the accession to the European Union, together, we will succeed in bringing Moldova into the EU!", Minister Nicu Popescu outlined.
