Lawyer from Chisinau, detained by the CNA in influence peddling case

A lawyer from Chisinau was detained on suspicion of influence peddling. According to information provided by the National Anti-Corruption Commission (CNA), the lawyer allegedly requested payments of 15,000 and 50,000 euros from the relatives of individuals in custody. In return, he promised to intervene with public officials to secure favorable outcomes for them.

The funds were transferred under the oversight of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, and the lawyer was detained for 72 hours.

The Balti Municipal Prosecutor's Office is leading the investigation into the case. Authorities are working to identify all individuals involved and ensure they are held criminally accountable. The investigation is ongoing.
