Corruption case: Searches at a private clinic and travel agency in Chisinau
CNA officers and prosecutors from Chisinau conducted searches at a private medical institution and a tourism company in Chisinau on Tuesday. The investigation revealed that individuals within these organizations allegedly issued fake medical certificates required for employment abroad, charging clients 1,000 euros for each certificate.
Following the searches, law enforcement officers seized documents and other evidence relevant to the criminal case. The individuals involved will be investigated as suspects and will be recognized and questioned accordingly.
Additionally, the CNA stated that one of the suspects is implicated in another corruption case. In this case, he is accused of soliciting a bribe of 31,000 euros to influence a court decision regarding a human trafficking case. He has already received 20,000 euros of this amount.
Law enforcement officers continue their investigations to identify all individuals involved and to hold them criminally accountable.
