Oleg Serebrian after the negotiations with Ignatiev: "Expectations are moderate"
Chisinau came up with five scenarios regarding the resumption of deliveries by the Cuciurgan power plant to the right bank of the Dniester. The announcement was made by Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian after the negotiations with the participation of political representatives in the Transnistrian settlement process, which took place in Chisinau.

"We mentioned that the most important element for us is a price as low as possible, able to protect citizens, but also our businesses from too heavy bills," said Serebrian, noting that "power grids cannot be subjected to too many repeated shocks strong, the degree of wear and tear of the energy infrastructure on both banks being, in some places, quite high".
Serebrian said that, beyond the energy topic, a number of other topics were addressed: freedom of movement, the import of medicines, etc. "Our expectations are moderate," the deputy prime minister reports.
According to him, Tiraspol cannot under any circumstances complain about a discriminatory treatment from Chisinau, or, "citizens coming from the territory of Transnistria are not forced to pass through checkpoints". In this context, the deputy prime minister mentioned that the checkpoints established by Tiraspol are not only illegal, but violate all the decisions and provisions regarding the status of the security zone.
"I mentioned that we want journalists representing civil and political society throughout the Republic of Moldova to have the right to move anywhere at any time without restrictions. Chisinau is ready to take concrete steps to create a common space for citizens' mobility, and I expressed my hope that Tiraspol will respond positively," said Oleg Serebrian.
Regarding the import of medicines in the Transnistrian region, the deputy prime minister pointed out that the Chisinau authorities want to create a common space, the proximity of the two banks in all fields, including the medical and pharmaceutical ones, not the creation of parallel spaces.
"We will not meet those who want the recognition of another nomenclature, a parallel one, of medicines on the territory of the Republic of Moldova", said Oleg Serebrian.
With reference to the incident at the Chisinau Airport, Oleg Serebrian mentioned that Tiraspol's chief negotiator, Vitali Ignatiev, did not notify Chisinau, as provided by the temporary border crossing mechanism of August 1, about Ignatiev's move to Moscow.
At the end of the meeting, the participants expressed their willingness to organise another round of negotiations by the end of this year.
TRM.MD recalls that the discussions were attended by representatives of the embassies of the USA, Russia, Ukraine and the EU Delegation and the OSCE Mission.
