Yellow alert for atmospheric instability: heavy rain, hail, and storms until May 25
The State Hydrometeorological Service has issued a Code Yellow weather warning for atmospheric instability today, May 23, valid for the entire territory of the Republic of Moldova. This warning will remain in effect until midnight on Sunday.
Meteorologists forecast that on May 23 and 24, the weather will bring lightning, brief rainfall, isolated heavy showers, hail, and storms with wind gusts of 15 to 18 m/s.
On May 25, atmospheric instability will occur, particularly in the northern and western regions of the country, where significant precipitation is expected.
Authorities are urging the public to exercise caution, avoid travelling during severe weather conditions, and take protective measures for agricultural goods and crops.
