Igor Grosu at the Bucharest Security Forum: When united, we are strong

"When united, we are strong," stated Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu during the Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum in Bucharest on Friday.
In a Facebook post, Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu stated that "the presidential elections in Romania and the Republic of Moldova clearly demonstrate how the Kremlin attempts to divide us—through extremism, manipulation, and destabilization." He further added that the strong mobilization of citizens "showed that we choose democracy, peace, and the European path."
"Moldova is a small country with a foreign army on its territory. The Transnistrian region and the Gagauz autonomy are utilized as tools for destabilization. Nevertheless, for the past four years, we have managed to maintain peace and order in the Republic of Moldova. We have governed with responsibility, good faith, and a single goal: to preserve peace in Moldova," emphasised Igor Grosu.
We would like to remind you that from May 22 to May 24, the ninth edition of the "Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum" is taking place in Bucharest—an international regional security conference. According to a statement from the Moldovan Parliament, the event features guests with extensive professional experience from various countries to discuss risks, threats, and vulnerabilities in the Black Sea and Balkan regions. The New Strategy Centre organises the event with support from Romania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of National Defense.
