Moldovan citizen was evacuated from Gaza

A citizen of the Republic of Moldova was evacuated from the Gaza Strip today, May 27, as announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The woman is currently safe and is expected to return to the Republic of Moldova shortly with the support of the authorities. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, her three children will remain in the Gaza Strip in the care of their deceased father's family.
The evacuation operation was made possible through the close cooperation of various authorities, including the Republic of Moldova, the State of Israel, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the embassies of the Republic of Moldova in Israel and Turkey, the Honorary Consul of Moldova in Jordan, and the Crisis Cell of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses gratitude to all the international partners involved and reaffirms its commitment to ensuring the safety and rights of Moldovan citizens in conflict zones. The MFA continues to monitor regional developments and advises citizens to check the current travel alerts.
To date, 53 citizens of the Republic of Moldova have been successfully evacuated from the Gaza Strip.
