"There are 22 misdemeanor lawsuits, seven of which target deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova. Tomorrow they will be summoned again, because they did not respond to the first summons. And when they do not appear, respectively, the decision will be made in their absence. When they do not appear again at the second summons, they will be fined in absentia. This is the law, this is the procedure and it will be respected", said Daniella Misail-Nichitin.

According to the minister, individuals risk fines from 4,500 to 9,000 lei. Persons with management positions - from 9,000 to 18,000 lei, and in the case of legal entities the fine can reach up to 30,000 lei.

Since 2022, the wearing of the St. George ribbon and the promotion of the war insignia "Z" and "V" are prohibited on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.

On the eve of May 9, the Minister of Internal Affairs declared that persons who will wear prohibited badges and symbols, including the black-orange bicolor ribbon, also called "St. George", as well as the letters "Z" and "V", which are associated with Russia's aggression in Ukraine, during public meetings on May 9 will be fined.

We recall that on May 9, the European Town was organized in the Great National Assembly Square, with the support of European partners. At the same time, several political parties and civic organizations held a march and rally dedicated to Victory Day, at the "Eternitate" Memorial Complex.
