Children from the Rublenita commune in the Soroca district will soon enjoy modern and safe conditions at their kindergarten. The "Alunelul" preschool is currently undergoing renovations as part of the "European Village 2" National Program. The building, which was constructed in the 1960s, has not received any significant renovations until now.

The ongoing project involves essential upgrades, including interior repairs, thermal insulation of the building walls, and the modernization of outdated interior and exterior engineering networks. Additionally, the surrounding area will be landscaped.

"Currently, we are working on the facade of the kindergarten. About 35% of the work remains to be completed, and we are dedicated to finishing on schedule," reported Ion Galiț, a worker.

The institution's management emphasizes that this modernization phase is crucial for creating a safe and attractive environment tailored to children's needs.

"The building lacked thermal insulation, which resulted in high heating costs each winter. Moreover, the interior design was inadequate; the appearance of the rooms and group spaces left much to be desired," said Tatiana Guriev, the director of "Alunelul" kindergarten.

"Until now, we haven't had the quality of conditions we expect after the renovation. The building was poorly heated, and we lacked modern amenities. Now, we anticipate a more modern, European standard, and improved facilities," expressed Larisa Catan, an educator.

Representatives from the local administration in Rublenița note that modernizing the kindergarten is vital since the village has a significant number of children who need appropriate educational and developmental conditions.

"Previously, this building served as the community town hall and the administration for the collective farm, making it challenging to operate. Now, conditions are greatly improved, making it suitable for our five groups of children," said Vitalie Munteanu, mayor of Rublenița commune.

The renovations are expected to be completed by August. Four million lei were allocated from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development for this project, with an additional contribution of 710 thousand lei from Rublenița City Hall. The commune of Rublenița, which includes the village of Rublenița Nouă, has a population of over 2,600 residents, approximately 450 of whom are children.
