The Court of Accounts' audit report on the activity of "Moldovagaz" was submitted to prosecutors
Moldova's Court of Accounts audit report on the activity of "Moldovagaz" reached the prosecutors' table. The information has been confirmed to DW by representatives of the Court of Accounts.
According to the audit, some activities carried out by Moldovagaz did not meet the compliance criteria governing this holding. In addition, the Court of Accounts found unjustified investments amounting to about 816 million lei.
Moldovagaz's audit report was submitted to the Prosecutor General's Office, the Parliament, President Maia Sandu, the Chisinau Government, Moldovagaz, the Ministries of Finance and Infrastructure, the Public Property Agency and the National Agency for Energy Regulation.
DW also reports that Moldovagaz President Vadim Ceban stated that most of the misconduct detected by the Court of Accounts relates to the period before he took office.
