About ten thousand jobs are vacant on the market in the Republic of Moldova

The National Employment Agency offers citizens who are looking for a job 10,000 vacancies. The more than 500,000 unemployed Moldovans can enter the workforce, whether they have a job or not, say the Agency's representatives. According to the source, 45% of the vacant places are in the municipality of Chisinau.

From the 10,000 job vacancies in the Republic of Moldova, citizens can work as technicians in the manufacturing industry, doctors, social workers, specialists in public administration, accountants, programmers, seamstresses, sellers, operators and others. At the same time, there is a large shortage of unskilled labor, such as porters and security guards, says the head of the Labor Market Observatory of ANOFM, Dorina Gușan. "There is a crisis of seamstresses, about two thousand, car drivers, lorries, trolleybuses, the third place we are talking about trade, salesmen and saleswomen. Employers talk about the lack of qualified labor and their inability to pay the salary corresponding to the requirements. About 35% have a salary higher than 5 thousand. Resulting from the fact that we have a large labor force deficit and the number of registered unemployed is decreasing, compared to the previous year. All the unemployed can benefit from the active measures that are made available". The monthly salaries that employers can offer start from 3500 and reach up to 25 thousand lei, for a project manager. According to the data of the National Bureau of Statistics, at the end of last year, 22,300 unemployed people were registered in the Republic of Moldova, of which 53% were men and the rest were women. There are also people who are neither employed nor unemployed, their number being 500 thousand at the end of 2022, while the number of vacancies has been increasing in recent years.
