Moldovan citizens urged to pay real estate and land tax by June 30 to avoid penalties

Residents and peasant households in the Republic of Moldova are encouraged to pay their real estate and land taxes for 2025 by June 30 of this year. Penalties will be imposed for each day that the payment is delayed after this date.

The State Tax Service (SFS) requires all taxes to be paid on assets acquired by March 31, 2025, inclusive.

These taxes, including those on unvalued land for peasant households, are assessed annually by the local tax and fee collection services operated by city halls.

Additionally, these local services are responsible for sending out notices regarding real estate and land tax payments.

Real estate and land taxes can be paid in cash at bank counters or at the offices of the State Enterprise "Poșta Moldovei." Payments can also be made online through the Government Electronic Payment Service, MPay.

The SFS warns that if real estate and land taxes are not paid by the established deadlines, a penalty of 0.0247% per day will be incurred for each day of delay.
