Dorin Recean will run for parliamentary elections on the PAS list

Prime Minister Dorin Recean will compete in the parliamentary elections representing the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), as announced by Igor Grosu, the Parliament Speaker and PAS leader, during a show aired on RLIVE TV.
The official emphasized that the head of the Executive branch deserves to be included among the future parliamentarians due to his involvement and dedication.
*"It's obviously appropriate for him to be there. He is very engaged and works extremely hard," stated Igor Grosu while discussing Dorin Recean's candidacy.
Grosu also confirmed that he will be leading the electoral list for the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS).
He announced that PAS will participate in the upcoming elections independently and will not form an electoral bloc with other parties. "Our proposal is clear and public. We will create a representative list that extends beyond our party, including individuals who are not members of PAS and do not need to become members. What matters is that these individuals understand the current stakes and want to contribute. This isn't about one party or another," he explained.
When asked about the party's chances of securing a parliamentary majority, Grosu was cautious but affirmed that the ruling party would strive for a positive outcome.
"I have one certainty: we must work hard. We will fight first for the best result. We arrive prepared on September 29, evaluate our situation afterward, and then decide on our next steps," said the Parliament Speaker.
Additionally, it's worth noting that four other individuals have publicly declared their intention to run in the parliamentary elections on the Action and Solidarity Party list: maestro Nicolae Botgros, conductor of the "Lăutarii" Orchestra; writer and publicist Constantin Cheianu; former Minister of Labor and Social Protection Marcel Spatari; and entrepreneur Maria Acbaș from the Gagauz Autonomous Region.
Experts consider this move logical, given that the ruling party has faced a personnel shortage in recent years.
