Romania sends doctors and rescue equipment to Turkey
Two large transport aircraft, belonging to the Romanian Air Force, have already taken off for Turkey, destined for Adana. There are 58 members of the rescue team on board, specially trained for intervention missions after earthquakes, informs the Radio Moldova reporter in Bucharest.

At the same time, Romania is sending rescue materials and equipment to Turkey, given that the number of victims of the 7.8 magnitude earthquake is increasing every hour and has already exceeded 1,300 dead and over 10,000 injured people.
According to the Ministry of Defense in Bucharest, Romanian specialists will urgently intervene to support the population affected by the earthquake produced on Monday morning. Among them are doctors from the Floreasca Emergency Hospital.
In the past, they participated in a similar mission in Albania. Rescuers are also dogs specially trained to search for survivors, and Romania is sending four such dogs to Turkey. The support is granted based on the request for international assistance formulated by the government of the Republic of Turkey through the European Civil Protection Mechanism.
