"JCET- 2023": Moldovan military and their Romanian colleagues take part in joint exercises
A group of soldiers from the Special Assignment Battalion ,,Lightning" of the National Army, together with their colleagues from the 52nd Special Operations Battalion ,,Băneasa - Otopeni", are taking part in the exercise "JCET- 2023" (Joint Combined Exchange Training). The training runs from 6-17 February at a training centre in Romania.
The purpose of the exercise is to increase the level of interoperability, synchronise operational procedures between the military of the two units and develop capabilities for the execution of special missions.
Officers, sergeants and soldiers from the two armies will undergo training in special winter mountaineering techniques, advanced combat shooting and specific missions, reads a statement issued by the Ministry of Defence.
The "JCET" exercise is carried out in accordance with the External Activity Plan of the Ministry of Defence and the National Army of the Republic of Moldova for 2023.
The soldiers of the Special Purpose Battalion “Fulger” have been taking part in "JCET" since 2009.
