The strengthening of relations between the Republic of Moldova and the United States of America in the context of the bilateral strategic dialogue was discussed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Nicu Popescu, at the meeting with the US Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs, Victoria Nuland.
According to a press release from the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two officials addressed current topics on the regional agenda as a result of the dramatic consequences generated by Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine and the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict.
The Strategic Dialogue represents a platform of the Republic of Moldova and the United States, within which the topics on the common agenda and the perspectives of the bilateral relationship are discussed at a high level. The Republic of Moldova established diplomatic relations with the USA in February 1992.
