National Army reservists get call-up orders to commissariats. Defence Ministry clarification
The Ministry of Defence today issued a reaction after reports emerged online that reservists are receiving call-up orders at military commissariats. In a press release, the institution declared that this information was being disseminated for the purpose of manipulation, calling on the public to be vigilant.
The Ministry of Defence specified that the call-up orders are sent to Moldovan citizens for the approval of the Regulation on administrative-military activity and the personnel limit of administrative-military bodies, as well as for the purpose of updating the database of Military-Territorial Centres.
These actions take place on a regular basis, and the dispatch of the summons orders has nothing to do with the security situation in the region, the ministry said.
"We urge citizens to be vigilant in the context of the recent intensification of attempts to manipulate and speculate on this issue," the Defence Ministry statement added.
