The new EU sanctions against Russia will include restrictions in the military and media
New EU sanctions against Russia, which are scheduled to be introduced by February 24, 2023, will include restrictions in the military and media spheres, said the head of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen. According to her, the restrictions will affect the export of goods worth more than 10 billion euros.

The entry into force of the EU sanctions will coincide with the anniversary of the start of the special operation in Ukraine on February 24. Bloomberg and Reuters sources reported on other possible measures the EU could include in a new package of restrictions. Bloomberg's interlocutors said that France is demanding the inclusion in the sanctions list of individuals and legal entities that are considered to be involved in PMC Wagner. Earlier, agency sources said the sanctions would hit Russia's military-industrial complex, drones and dual-use goods.
