The Pre-Vetting Commission started the evaluation of candidates for positions in the CSP

The Pre-Vetting Commission has started the evaluation of candidates for the position of member in the Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP). Thus, 18 candidates entered in the competition for the position of member in the Superior Council of Prosecutors, will be subject to the evaluation of their financial and ethical integrity for the last 15 years.

At the same time, the candidates had to complete the Declaration of wealth and personal interests for the last five years. In this sense, as a result of the failure to submit the statement within the deadline, the candidate for the position of member of the CSP, Vasilie Stoinov, and prosecutor in the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases, Sud Office, did not pass the evaluation. The candidate can appeal the decision within 5 days from the date of receipt.

We remind that the new composition of the Superior Council of Prosecutors is to be chosen by the General Assembly of Prosecutors, from the candidates who will pass the evaluation of the Pre-Vetting Commission.
