PAS MP following the resignation of the Gavrilița Government: "We want to bring more discipline in the governmental act"
The Gavrilița government has resigned as some "government resets", more discipline and a greater focus on security are needed, Action and Solidarity Party MP Radu Marian told TV8. The candidate nominated for Prime Minister, Dorin Recean, has this experience and the new government should be sworn in as soon as possible in order to begin its work, Radu Marian remarked.

"Mr Recean, like Mrs Gavrilița, has experience in managing public institutions, he has experience in security. So we have growing risks in this area and he has our trust. Mr Recean has worked at the Ministry of Interior, he has brought changes there. For example, the proportion of citizens who trusted the police doubled. He played a role in the visa liberalisation. We want to bring more discipline to the act of government."
Natalia Gavrilița announced her resignation yesterday after a year and a half in office. The Prime Minister spoke at a press conference where she made this announcement but did not specify the reason for her decision to leave. Shortly afterwards, head of state Maia Sandu declared Dorin Recean the nominee for prime minister of Moldova.
He is expected to put together a new government team and to appear before Parliament in the near future.
