Igor Grosu: We can count on Ireland's experience on the road to European accession
The Republic of Moldova hopes to benefit from Irish experience and expertise in several sectors, such as agriculture, health and investment, the Speaker of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, stressed during a meeting with the Irish Ambassador to our country, Paul McGarry.
"We are counting on Irish experience and expertise in several sectoral areas, such as agriculture, health and investment, as part of the process of granting the Republic of Moldova the status of a candidate state to the European Union. In particular, we talked about the large Moldovan community in Ireland. We need to speed up negotiations on more social agreements that will help our citizens", stated Igor Grosu.
The head of the Chisinau legislature added that he will pay a working visit to Dublin at the invitation of his counterpart, without specifying the date.
