Expert: Maia Sandu made it clear that the Russian Federation wants to take political control over the Republic of Moldova

Maia Sandu made it clear that the Russian Federation wants to take political control over the Republic of Moldova, using some political parties and criminal groups as a tool, expert Ion Tăbîrță told Radio Moldova. And in order to destabilize the situation in the Republic of Moldova, Russia sends diversionists from sympathetic states, with the mission to destabilize the situation in our country.

If we had a society with a high level of resilience to external threats, the Republic of Moldova would not have been so vulnerable, points out Ion Tăbîrță. "In the conditions where you are isolated and you cannot bring an army, you bring certain destabilizing forces to coordinate with the forces inside the Republic of Moldova. It is difficult to bring forces from Romania to act in such a way, although there are also certain politicians in Romania, who somehow play the games of the Russian Federation", said Tăbîrță.

For his part, the expert on security issues, Ion Leahu, says that absolutely all the dangers mentioned by the president are real. According to him, in order to ensure its national security, the Republic of Moldova must enter the phase of building early relations with the left of the Nistru, perhaps even temporarily isolating this region, in order to diminish the Kremlin's influence. Thus, the European Union would give more support to our country and could speed up the accession process of the Republic of Moldova to the EU. "We are in a very favorable situation in relation to the European Union. The problem is that we do not have a real solution to the Transnistrian dispute or to build early relations that would allow us for some time to isolate this territory, without incorporating it, taking into account the fact that there are Russian military forces there, which could be a reason for the invasion. To offer them a way of life, without them getting involved in the problems of the Republic of Moldova. In such a case, the European Union could weigh what is most convenient: to watch how Russia forms another bridgehead towards Europe in the person of the Republic of Moldova, or to return with its full diplomatic, economic, and financial potential and set a temporary border on the Nistru", pointed out Ion Leahu.
