The Minister of the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, James Heappey, is paying his official visit to the Republic of Moldova.
The British official was met by the acting Minister of Defense, Anatolie Nosatîi, the two officials had discussions about the bilateral cooperation in the military field between the two states and the prospects of its intensification, the reform carried out in the National Army, as well as the security situation in the region. The Minister of Defense mentioned, during the meeting, that the United Kingdom represents for the Republic of Moldova an important and credible strategic partner since the establishment of the first diplomatic relations, through the direct and indirect support given to the democratic implementation of reforms in our country. For his part, the Minister of the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland stated that the British Government will continue to support the National Army in achieving the goal of transformation in accordance with Western standards.
