Protection of Ukrainian airspace debated in the second Ramstein meeting
The protection of Ukrainian airspace, including the involvement of an aviation platform, will be one of the topics of discussion at this year's second meeting of Western allies on new military aid to Ukraine. The meeting will take place on Tuesday at the American Ramstein Air Base in southwestern Germany, Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov announced, quoted by the BBC.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov said that it is primarily about the possibility of supplying Kiev with combat aircraft and air defense systems, because in recent months Ukraine's infrastructure has suffered a lot, mainly from airstrikes: air raids and missile attacks and kamikaze drones.
In addition, according to Minister Reznikov, it is planned to discuss the "development of a coalition of tanks", the replenishment of stocks of spent ammunition, training programs of the Ukrainian military and the "stability of collective support" from the West. According to Alexei Reznikov, on the eve of the next meeting at the Ramstein base, he managed to discuss these issues with Western partners in advance, and "their involvement and support is optimistic."
We remind that the previous meeting in Ramstein, regarding the increase of military aid to Ukraine, which was attended by the Ministers of Defense from 50 countries, took place on January 20. The allies have decided to send a "highly capable" combat package to Ukraine, which includes high-performance tanks. The $2.5 billion in military aid announced by the US includes Bradley and Stryker armored vehicles. In turn, other countries have declared that they are ready to provide offensive systems and combat vehicles.
