Radu Marian: The Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development will be divided
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development will be divided into the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Ministry of Energy. The statement was made by PAS deputy Radu Marian during the program "La 360 de grade" on Radio Moldova.
"It is also discussed in society. There is a possibility to separate infrastructure and energy, especially in our context of having energy independence from the Russian Federation, to increase the share of renewables. I think we need a strong message to society that energy will be a priority of this government. The final structure will be announced in a few days", said Radu Marian.
Newsmaker wrote, today, without citing the source, that the former head of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE), Victor Parlicov, could lead a separate energy ministry in the cabinet of Prime Minister-designate Dorin Recean. Victor Parlicov has not yet commented on the information.
We remind you that the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Andrei Spînu, has been appointed as Secretary General of the Office of the President of the Republic of Moldova, starting tomorrow, February 14. President Maia Sandu signed the decree today.
