The Republic of Moldova will host the Summit of the European Political Community next year
The Republic of Moldova will host the Summit of the European Political Community next year. The information was confirmed today by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicu Popescu. The subject was discussed with foreign ministers, including the process of organization and how this joint initiative can be developed for the benefit of citizens on the European continent.

"In these difficult moments for our country and the region, it is more important than ever to ensure the support and solidarity of our partners - those who support our freedom and Europeanness", declared Nicu Popescu. Recently, the head of diplomacy of the Republic of Moldova, Nicu Popescu, participated in Łódź, together with foreign ministers and senior officials from the entire OSCE region, at the 29th Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, at the invitation of the acting president of the organization, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Zbigniew Rau. In front of the 56 states participating in the OSCE, 11 partners for cooperation and several top officials from other international organizations, the Moldovan official delivered the national speech in which Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu referred to the main topical issues for security in the OSCE space and the future of the organization , as well as the dramatic consequences of Russian aggression on Ukraine and the impact for our country in energy and socio-economic terms. The Moldovan diplomat pointed out that despite the multiple challenges, the Republic of Moldova remains firm on the irreversible path to the European Union.
