Official: $50 billion in military aid to Ukraine from partners
Ukraine's partners have accumulated $50 billion worth of military aid to Kiev since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, Ukrinform quoted US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin as saying.
He made that statement opening today's meeting of the Contact Group for the Defense of Ukraine, held in the so-called Ramstein format, in Brussels. The US official noted that much has been done, but aid must be stepped up, "especially at this crucial time." Ukrinform notes that this is already the ninth meeting in the Ramstein format. The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksii Reznikov, also participates in the event. The ninth meeting takes place on Tuesday 14 February in Brussels.
