Serbia denies statements that its citizens could be involved in destabilizing actions in the Republic of Moldova
The leadership of Serbia denies Maia Sandu's statement according to which Serbian citizens could be involved in actions to destabilize the Republic of Moldova, with the aim of changing the constitutional power, as the country's president Maia Sandu declared on the eve. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dačić, demanded an explanation from Chisinau, writes Evropeiskaya Pravda.
The head of diplomacy in Belgrade added that Serbia cannot ignore the subject, as such information damages the country's reputation, and the participation of Serbian citizens in armed conflicts outside the country is punishable. We remind that 12 Serbian fans of the "Partizan" football club were not allowed to enter the Republic of Moldova, Monday evening, in Chisinau International Airport. This was announced on the Facebook page of the Serbian club, and the information was confirmed for realitatea.md by the Border Police, citing that these citizens "did not meet the entry conditions, did not have the necessary documents and could not justify their purpose the journey". The representatives of the "Partizan" club announced that, after a night spent in the Chisinau airport, they returned home this morning, on the first flight. The decision was taken after consultations with the Embassy of Serbia in Bucharest. On February 16, in Chisinau, a match between the "Sheriff Tiraspol" and "Partizan" teams was supposed to take place. The PAS deputy, Adrian Cheptonar stated that these Serbs would have intended to organize destabilizing actions in the Republic of Moldova.
