The airspace of the Republic of Moldova is temporarily closed for security reasons today until 16:00, RunWay reports. The information was also confirmed by the Air Moldova company.
On the Facebook page of the company it is written that at this moment, the airspace of the Republic of Moldova is closed and they are waiting for the resumption of flights. Air Moldova urges citizens to keep calm and follow the information boards in the airport and online at www.airmoldova.md and www.airport.md.
RBC Ukraine wrote that the reason for the ban would have been a Russian reconnaissance drone that entered the airspace of the Republic of Moldova. Radio Moldova reporters also contacted the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Moldova, but the institution's press officer, Ala Diaconu, stated that for now she does not know the reasons for the closure of the airspace of the Republic of Moldova.
