AAC announces the reopening of the airspace of the Republic of Moldova

The airspace of the Republic of Moldova has been reopened after a temporary closure that lasted from 11:24 a.m. to 2:47 p.m., the Civil Aviation Authority announces.

"Following the meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission for Airspace Management, a NOTAM was issued for the temporary closure of the airspace of the Republic of Moldova at 11:24 a.m., February 14, in order to ensure the safety and security of civil aviation. At 2:47 p.m., the airspace was reopened. We will come up with additional details", the official press release of the Civil Aeronautical Authority states.

RBC Ukraine wrote that the reason for the ban would have been a Russian reconnaissance drone that entered the airspace of the Republic of Moldova.
