Volodymyr Zelensky criticized the price cap for a barrel of Russian oil at $60
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday criticized the price cap for a barrel of Russian oil at $60 by an agreement of the EU, G7 and Australia, estimating that "it is not a serious decision", writes Agerpres. The price of a barrel of Russian oil is currently around $65, slightly below the European ceiling.

The head of Ukraine's presidential administration, Andrii Iermak, said on Saturday that the price ceiling for Russian oil should be lowered to $30 a barrel to hit Russia's economy harder. Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, quoted by RIA Novosti, said that Russia will not accept the price cap for Russian oil and is considering a response to this decision. G7 countries, along with Australia, agreed on Friday to cap the price of Russian oil at $60 a barrel, following an agreement reached earlier by the 27 countries of the European Union. The purpose of this capping is to diminish Moscow's income and ability to finance Russia's war against Ukraine.
