Electricity could get cheaper
The electricity tariff could be revised. ANRE is going to reduce the price starting in December, claims the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Andrei Spînu. According to him, there are real premises to have a price around 4 lei per kw/h. Thus, we will have a 25% decrease in the shortest time, Andrei Spînu concluded.
"This week, the electricity bought by Energocom from the Romanian stock market exceeded the price of 400 EUR. Procurement at a price above EUR 400/MW would have inevitably led to a further tariff increase in December. Most probably we should have had a tariff of over 8 lei (...). After the signing of the contract with MGRES, the tariff will no longer increase, and the Extraordinary Situations Commission will decide to review the tariff". We remind you that for December, according to the tariffs approved at the beginning of this month by ANRE, citizens from the center and south of the country will pay for electricity 5.91 lei for one kW/h, and those from the north of the Republic of Moldova 5.60 lei per kW /h.
