"Today, I conclude the most responsible stage of my professional life so far. I hand over the responsibility of managing the Government to the new team with a peaceful heart. (…) I wish success to my colleagues in the new government and urge them not to give up for a moment the pro-European and pro-development mandate, for which we received the citizens' vote in 2021", wrote Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița. The acting Head of Government announces that, even if she is leaving the executive, she remains with "the beautiful and hardworking people of this country". Natalia Gavrilița thanked her colleagues in the Government, with whom she teamed up during the 18 months of her mandate, for their efforts, the citizens - for their appreciation and criticism, and her party colleagues - for their support. "These days, I received a lot of words of appreciation and gratitude from people. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for every word and emotion. They made me relive the whole time I worked for the Government, with the good and the bad. I tried to do my duty honestly and with dedication, for the people, for the country", reads the message posted by Natalia Gavrilița. We remind you that Natalia Gavrilița announced her resignation from the position of Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova on February 10. On the same day, President Maia Sandu appointed her adviser on defense and security issues, Dorin Recean, as a candidate for the position of prime minister. The prime minister-designate is expected in Parliament today to ask the deputies for a vote of confidence. Recean will present the activity program and the composition of the future cabinet of ministers. The event is scheduled for 14:00. Moldova 1 TV will broadcast live the debates in the plenary session of the Parliament. According to the law, after the vote granted by the Parliament, the President of the Republic of Moldova appoints the Government, which begins to exercise its powers from the day of taking the oath before the head of state.
