Maia Sandu: Protests are a democratic way to express dissatisfaction with certain situations

Protests are a democratic way to express dissatisfaction with certain situations, but they can be organized by political parties that are transparently financed and respect the law, but not by corrupt groups, President Maia Sandu said during a program on TVR Moldova.

According to the head of state, they are dissatisfied citizens, but they must not be used by the Russian Federation and corrupt groups from the Republic of Moldova. "We have high inflation, prices have risen, especially for energy resources, and it is natural that there are dissatisfied people, it is natural that not everyone understands that these problems are largely caused by the Russian war. These people can only express their grievances in a peaceful, law-abiding setting. We want these people not to end up being used by Russia and by criminal groups", said Maia Sandu. We remind you that on Monday the head of state declared in a press briefing that there is a plan of the Russian Federation to force the change of power in Chisinau through violent actions, masked under protests of the so-called opposition.
