The Republic of Moldova could have direct flights to the USA
The Republic of Moldova could have, in the near future, direct flights to the United States of America (USA). An agreement in this sense, which provides for the facilitation of the development of air traffic between the two countries, is to be signed between the Republic of Moldova and the USA, the Government announces.
According to the quoted source, the agreement involves the liberalization of the air services market between the two parties, the facilitation of access for the airlines of both states, the attraction of investments in the field, but also the provision of air services without restrictions. "Although currently no Moldovan airline operates flights to the United States of America, the legal framework created by this Agreement can facilitate the development of traffic between the Republic of Moldova and the USA", announces the Government. At the same time, premises will be created for the launch of direct flights from Chisinau to destinations in the United States of America and air services from the Republic of Moldova will be diversified. The executive states that the establishment of an open aviation space with the USA will bring economic benefits to our country, by increasing passenger traffic and by increasing competition on the domestic aviation market.
